Horses and True Horsemanship

My friend, who is a specialist in child development, and I become more and more amazed at how like human children horses are. When do you need to whip a child? What kind of nuanced behavior requires a stroke with a dangerous object? Horsemanship might be defined by how much one can achieve with how little. We as owners usually receive horses with issues. These horses are no more clear in understanding and behavior than a troubled foster child. What is a horse’s true consciousness? To connect with this animal in its pure form is an amazing experience – a cosmic experience, if you will. To engage in a partnership in such a state is truly out of this world and the use of threatening tools unthinkable.
